I decided to choose this topic because I've noticed that when it comes to life balance, there are a few things which easily disrupt and also quite a few things which protect it.

I thought I would share these with you so you can identify your own disruptors and protectors and perhaps use this knowledge to create more balance in your life.

So first of all, let's take a look at disruptors.

Five or six years ago, there were two pretty major disruptors impacting on my life balance.

The first one was stress.

My experiences of stress messed with the quality of my relationships,

my sleeping habits, my self-care and my thoughts and emotions. Basically, stress had an impact

on my life balance by reducing my enjoyment of the good times and interfering with my health,

both mental and physical. My body didn't feel

strong. I was tired and often sick. I remember at one time trying to study for exams and

balance two jobs while I had a cold and an ear infection. The thing about stress is it can have a
