for Criminal Minds. As you all know, if you listen to our podcast, we normally work with Jim

Clemente, who is a former FBI profiler, but we have wrestled the mic away from Jim for this

very special bonus episode because Laura had a great idea that we focus on something very

specific that we found out about Nicole Brown-Sybhton.

Yes, I think it's quite important. The other things that I haven't been saying in Real Crime Profile

is that I have reviewed many domestic violence homicides and conducted thousands of risk assessments

with victims, but also family members. I've looked at lots of diary entries as well

and I've also written reports for court. When you're trying to understand what's going on for someone,

you have to look at multiple sources of information. We decided to drop another special,

a cookie on Nicole specifically around the diary entries, 14 years of diary entries

that she kept in a safety deposit box and also just some of the letters that she wrote,

too in particular, which Lisa will give a bit more of a context on.

We're going to take you through those letters and do a bit of an analysis on the content

and around the process of how they were used to.

Yes, we have two letters here. Neither of them are dated, but they have been authenticated

as being handwritten by Nicole. One letter was read in the criminal trial

and the other letter was read in the civil trial. They both are very different letters

and they led to very, very different outcomes.
