one priest in this story who in the face of ridicule and retaliation

Father Robert Marino was born November 28, 1955, in Camden, New Jersey.

He went on to attend Syracuse University where he received a bachelor's degree in interior design

and went on to work as a design consultant for 14 years,

before leaving it all behind to become a man of the cloth.

Father Marino attended St. Vincent de Paul and Christ the King's seminary and earn a master's degree in divinity.

He was ordained in 2008 at St. Joseph's Cathedral in Buffalo by then Bishop Edward Kimick.

In November 2009, he began serving at St. Philip the Apostle and Cheekte d'Waga.
