From CNN, I'm Charlie Drever with the five things you need to know for Tuesday, November 5th.

Voting is now underway in dozens of states as we go into election day with historically tight polls.

Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump delivered their final pitches for votes at campaign events in

battleground states late last night. And CNN's Harry Enten tells us how the path to the White

House could come down to certain swing states. Now Kamala Harris's best path to 270 electoral votes

is rather simple. Win up in the Great Lake Battleground states of Wisconsin,

Michigan, and Pennsylvania, and that gets her to exactly

270 electoral votes.

She could still lose in the Southwest Battleground states of

Nevada, Arizona, Georgia, and North Carolina.

For Donald Trump, it's very simple as well.

All he needs to do is win in those Southwest

Battleground states of Nevada, Arizona,

and the southeast, Georgia, North Carolina, and then just flip one of the Great Lake

Battleground states, Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania. That is where I believe this election

will ultimately be determined. Whoever wins Pennsylvania will win this election.

Before voting began today, the U.S. intelligence community made a last-ditch effort to make voters

aware of alleged foreign interference in this election, warning about global efforts to manipulate

US public opinion, undermining confidence in the integrity of the election, and the possible

violence that could come as a result.

And as voters in battleground states head to the polls, some may have to battle the weather to get to polling stations.
