November 13th. President-elect Donald Trump is making a triumphant return to Washington today.

He's set to meet with President Joe Biden at the White House, as CNN's Kristen Holmes explains.

Yeah, Joe, this is really one of the most important moments of the transition.

We know we've seen some cabinet picks.

We know we're going to hear about some policies.

But this is the beginning of that piece for transfer of power.

So just an overarching view of what we expect to see today.

Donald Trump will land in Washington.

He will quickly go have a meeting with Speaker Mike Johnson as well as the House conference.

And then he is going to meet with President Joe Biden at the White House.

One thing to keep a note, this is not a luxury.

This is not something that Donald Trump afforded to Joe Biden four years ago.

However, Biden has said he is committed to that peaceful transfer of power.

One other thing that we expect to see from Donald Trump today,

a meeting with the Senate Majority Leader, something that we don't know who that person is going to be

yet, but we are told that he is going to sit down with them as well. The GOP is holding its secret

ballot election for Senate leader this morning. Lawmakers are choosing between Minority Whip,

John Thune, Texas Senator John Cornyn, and Longshot Maga favorite, Senator Rick Scott of Florida.

Then later, House Republicans will decide whether Mike Johnson can keep his job as their leader,

and while he's expected to win that fight, he's still facing an uncertain
