Hello from CNN, I'm Joe Beck with the five things you need to know for Friday

October 25th. Elon Musk is still spending big bucks on Donald Trump's

campaign but Vice President Kamah Harris continues to out fundraise the former president.

New campaign finance reports show both candidates went on a spending spree this month,

burning through more than half a billion dollars

combined during the first half of October.

In that time, Musk plowed nearly 44 million into a super pack that's backing Trump, pushing his total donations to nearly 119 million.

He's also restarted his million dollar giveaways for registered voters, which appeared to pause on

Wednesday after being warned by the Justice

Department that the payments might be illegal. Yesterday two random winners

were announced to make up for the break. Harris is outraising and outspending Trump so far, spending roughly $130 million on

media expenses this month, but she still has more than three times more money in her campaign's

coffers than Trump does.
