Hello from CNN, I'm Joe Beck, with the five things you need to know for Wednesday, May 29th.

Jury deliberations are expected to start today in former President Donald Trump's hushmoney trial.

Seven men and five women will be asked to decide whether the prosecution has provided enough

evidence to prove that Trump committed 34 counts of business fraud

and intended to influence the 2016 election.

If he's found guilty, he'll be the first US president in history

to be convicted of a crime,

and he could face up to 20 years in prison.

When the jury returns to the court today they'll be given instructions from the

judge before deliberations begin. How long it takes them to reach a verdict is anyone's guess, and if they can't

agree, we could see a hung jury.

President Joe Biden won't change his policy toward Israel.

After a deadly strike resulted in the death of more

than 45 people at a displacement camp in Rava this weekend.

CNN's Nada Bashir has been following this story for us.

What's the White House been saying about this?

Well, Joe, the Biden administration has said that it is opposed to a, quote,

major ground operation and that they have not seen such an operation at this stage.

Biden has also previously told CNN that if Israel does go into Rafah,

the US will not be supplying weapons for an offensive in the southern city.

But weapons supplied by the US are already in the hands of the Israeli military.
