February 5th. Heavy rain is creating a quote extremely dangerous situation in parts of California.

That's the warning from the National Weather Service in LA, which says the Hollywood

Hills and Santa Monica Mountains are seeing landslides, flooded roadways, and submerged vehicles.

This is the second atmospheric river to hit the state in the space of a week, and officials say

millions of people there at risk of life-threatening flooding.

Stay out of fast-moving water.

Don't go to the L.A. River.

Don't go to the Sand Hill River and look at the water.

That's those extremely dangerous areas.

Flights have been cancelled and hundreds of thousands of homes and businesses have lost power,

with winds in some places reaching up to 100 miles per hour.

And parts of LA could see close to half a year's worth of rain by tomorrow.

Senators have released details of their border deal and foreign aid package,

which would severely cut back asylum at the southern border if it passes.

But the bill's future is still far from certain.
