Hello from CNN, I'm Joe Beck, with the five things you need to know for Tuesday, July 9th.

President Joe Biden will come face to face with world leaders today as they gather for the NATO summit in DC.

It'll be the first time he's seen most of them since his widely criticized debate performance

and comes as he's fending off questions about his health and cognitive capacity.

We asked CNN's Nick Robertson what to look out for during the summit.

Joe High President Biden meeting with 31 other NATO leaders at their 75th anniversary summit in

Washington. Amid swirling questions domestically about his abilities, the

German Chancellor Rolflef Schultz, says he's not worried.

President Zelensky of Ukraine will be there says he expects concrete answers and steps

from NATO on air defence. He is also hoping for a quicker path to joining

NATO. He'll look for language like an irreversible path, not clear if he'll get in.

Meanwhile, some top Democrats continue to voice their support for Biden,

like House Minority Leader Hakim Jeffries.

I made clear the day after the debate publicly that I support President Joe Biden and a Democratic ticket. My position has not. But not

change. But not everyone in the party is on the same page.

So far, six Democratic House members have publicly asked Biden to stand down.

And some people think that number could go up this morning, as they hold their first caucus

meeting since the debate.

As parts of Texas pick up the pieces from Storm Burrell, they're now dealing with

dangerous heat. Millions of people are still without power and it could be days

before they get it back, leaving them without air conditioning in

temperatures that feel like 105 degrees in some places.
