In Episode 86, Matt defined Effective Feedback and the context of where it fits into the performance cycle.
.
In Part 2 of this series on Effective Feedback, we provide the framework, structure, and flow of both giving and receiving effective feedback in real-life scenarios.
Feedback is powerful and will elicit a reaction. It can be positive or negative depending on the tone or the environment in which it is delivered.
For the Manager or Coach, delivering effective feedback includes an understanding of proper timing, clarity, intention, and delivery of the message.
The Receiver or Learner also plays a vital role in the feedback loop. She must be vulnerable, eager to improve, and appreciative of the fact that proper feedback is not an indication of failure.
.
Ultimately, EFFECTIVE Feedback builds trust and is a chance for growth, a gateway to improvement, and a performance-enhancing tool - IF properly utilized.
In this episode, you'll find out how to communicate feedback effectively so that both parties are consistent and confident in their shared mission to evolve and improve.
