I'll give you one other example and DEA is not perfect.

We had an agent who was a very good friend of mine who worked considerable undercover.

He was Cuban American.

His wife was an agent.

He was, I don't want to, he's still living so I don't want to say something here that

I would get sued over, but he got transferred back to South Florida as a group supervisor

and his group was doing money pickups.

And he had become so confident in his undercover abilities that he went and did a money pickup

by himself.

Well, if you got $7,800 or $1 million, what do you do with it?

So he walked into the bank, he edged him and said, I need to have this counted.

And then deposit into his personal account.

What just so happened, there was an IRS agent or an IRS, I don't know if he's an agent,

but an IRS representative at the bank that day and the tailor went to the manager manager

went to the IRS and they're like, this just doesn't sound right because this DEA never

does it this way.

And so they started an investigation.

He ended up going to prison, which is where he should have been because he stepped over

that thin blue line to the bad side, lost his career, his wife lost her career.

Now he's a convicted criminal, convicted felon.

And he was involved in one of the highest profile cases that DEA has ever participated

in.
