How are you guys? What's new? What's the haps? I apologize for the lack of episode last week. I popped over to Palm Springs because my dad and siblings were there and it was so nice to have some human interaction.

Hey, speaking of humans, if you're new here, I'm known for my segues. It's LGBT History Month, so portions of the proceeds from today's episode will be donated to the Trevor Project, who I know you know I love. I've talked about them in a past episode before. I also dropped off my ballot this week, so make sure to get out and vote and get your voice heard.

And now more than ever, it's important to research not just obviously the president, but the other kind of it's running, especially in your local elections. I've been trying my best to pay attention to all that, but you know, we got to keep educating ourselves, listening and I think honestly the coolest thing as shitty as 2020 has been, you know, with a pandemic and everything going on.

There's a lot of conversations that are happening, especially in groups where maybe it wouldn't normally and it opens up opportunity to not only teach people, but also learn how to be a better ally because you can never stop learning. Speaking of learning, this is my other segway, I watched the social dilemma the other day and it was fascinating.

I post like maybe once a month on my personal Instagram, like aside from stories or whatever, but I never really like scroll on it anymore. I feel like I look on like TikTok a lot now. It's so weird to watch the evolution of everything because I feel like Facebook now I never go on unless it's to like back on the cult leader group, which by the way, like, thing you to the admin who do everything on there because I don't know how to do any of it.

But like those types of website and just trying to like actually like do things that I enjoy because I'm like, the news is startling enough. There's so much happening in the world that like I've been trying personally just to like disconnect and I feel like I notice a total correlation with anxiety when I do that.

2:59.0

So this weekend, me and Madison, I guess this is a disconnecting because we were face timing, but we stayed up until 1 a.m. which is late for me watching this thing on Netflix called the curious creations of Christine McConnell and you guys I'm obsessed we binge the entire series. It's like Peewee's Playhouse meets vintage meets spooky. It's so fun. She seems so cool. So I've been like fully watching her stuff now. She has like other videos and stuff where she just bought this.

Manchin in New York for like I don't even know how much probably off of one of those websites and it's from like the 1800s. It's so cool. There's that one Instagram. I feel like probably a lot of you guys follow it. It's called cheap old houses and they'll post these really cool old houses online with their price. It'll be like this mansion in Georgia is $50,000 or whatever. And it's like I'm sure it's like dilapidated. There's stuff wrong with it. But I don't know. All right. Sorry. Long long intro. But I but I missed you. It's been two weeks.

I teased on Instagram stories a couple days ago a little hint for today's episode. So maybe some of you guessed it. But we are talking about Betty broadrick who just gives me total serial mom vibes. And if you've never watched serial mom it's a John Waters film and it is just everything. It's so kitschy and good. And I think it's actually available on either Amazon Prime or Apple TV one of those because I know I watched it semi recently.

4:26.0

But it's definitely a cult classic. Yeah. See what I did there. Picture this a seemingly put together housewife a doding mother of four. And after a course of unfortunate events one day she snaps.

Betty made national news in the late 80s and early 90s because she quote didn't seem the type to murder somebody which we all know there is no type. It could be the local pastor an angry child or doding husband.

4:54.0

It could be the neighbor who always gave a friendly wave as you drove by but in this case it's Betty broadrick. Born Elizabeth Biscoglia on November 7th of 1947 in Bronxville, New York her parents marita and Frank had six children in total Betty falling smack in the middle as their third.
