we are so excited to welcome Dora Mkabella and her daughter, Tembih Imkebela Carter, as our guest.

We are so excited to have Dora and Tembe with us today. Dora is with us virtually from South Africa, and Tembby is here in the studio in Salt Lake City, and we're excited to share kind of the miraculous story that made this recording possible. But first, we want to introduce Dora and Temby as a brief introduction. Dora Mkabella serves as the temple matron of the Johannesburg

South Africa Temple. She and her husband, Jackson, are from Johannesburg, and they joined the church

in the early 90s before Temby was born. Dora has served in many leadership callings in the church,

including on the Young Women General Board under the direction of President Bonnie Oskerson.

So we're excited to hear more about your service.

We have been planning an interview with Dora for a few months, but we didn't know that

Temby was her daughter until just last week.

So Temby moved to Utah from South Africa last year, and she actually lives in my ward

in Salt Lake City with her husband, Andrew.

And as we were getting ready for this interview, I just kept getting the nudge that I needed to ask Temby if she

knew Dora. And I knew there were thousands of church members in South Africa, but I wondered if they

knew each other or had a connection. So I was shocked to learn that, yes, Temby knows Dora. She's her

daughter. So we're so excited to have this mom-daughter interview today to get more of a complete picture of Dora and Temb's contributions as women of faith in South Africa. So again, welcome. Thank you both so much for being here.
