Hey, thanks for having me. I'm so excited to be here. So today we're going to talk about a whole bunch of stuff

around accessibility and I really hope to get a bunch of like

practical things that just regular developers can get out of it because I think

that's like one of the biggest spaces that developers need to improve

which is like not that every single person needs to be an accessibility expert we

certainly need those we need reviews and whatnot but I think just like the

general knowledge just like you have general

knowledge of CSS you should know about how to approach these things.

Every developer is kind of needs to know it.

So you want to give us a quick rundown of who you are or what you do?

Sure, yeah. So I'm Marcy. I am a friend and developer. I've been in the game for

gosh so long. A lot too one. But I love it. I love building user interfaces and somewhere

along the way I learned about web accessibility and it was really working with people with disabilities that it

struck me that like whoa I could have an impact here like this doesn't work for

people that I can even talk to and say like oh tell me more

tell me how this works or doesn't work for you like that connection to people

with disabilities is what super resonated with me.

And I've never been able to turn it off.
