1:28.3	My previous book was called Love and Trouble, and it was a memoir that had to do with growing up in the 70s and 80s in a culture that was just sort of relentlessly sexually predatory.
1:40.3	And so I was writing about my own experience as a young girl.
1:48.1	And it was kind of a formally experimental book.
1:54.2	And one of the forms I used was an open letter to Roman Polanski, who's not someone I know.
1:55.4	And, you know, it's a memoir.
1:58.0	But I was using him as a kind of stand-in.
2:02.1	He's sort of the err example of the predatory man of that era because of his rape of a 13-year-old.
