know that the punji pit was basically a Viacong Gorilla warfare tactic.

Our adversaries would dig a hole, usually square rectangular. It would probably be two to three feet deep,

and they'd take sharp and bamboo sticks like razor sharp, stuffed into the ground with the sharp

and straight up, and then they'd put bamboo thatch over the top and dirt, so you're just walking

on a trail. But when you get to a certain part of the trail, you fall into that trap.
