We could not be more excited or thrilled or eager to have you join us for this very exciting interview with D. Michael Quinn, author of the book, The Mormon Hierarchy, Wealth and Corporate Power, published by Signature Books.

So we are recording this in front of a live studio audience in Leihai, Utah and we're just very excited to have Dr. D. Michael Quinn back with us. This is not his first appearance on Mormon Stories for those of you who don't know about Michael Quinn.

So I'll make sure you guys know that a couple of just quick announcements. We are announcing the launching of a Mormon Stories podcast being available through Patreon.

Patreon is a really wonderful platform to make it possible for people to pay for or support these podcasts sort of on a per release basis.

So you can sign up for one dollar per interview or per release. And let's just say we have six or eight a month. It's just six or eight dollars a month.

Just to be really clear about why we're doing that and what we're doing, we've got great supporters for the open Stories Foundation of people who support us at 10 or 25 or $100 a month.

That revenue is critical to the open Stories Foundation because it's how we fund the open Stories Foundation and our staff.

Unfortunately, it turns out that only less than one percent of our listeners actually donate to Mormon Stories. So 99.5 percent of our listeners just listen for free and don't support us.

And so the reason why we've added Patreon to the mix is to incentivize those of you who feel like $10 or $15 or $20 or $100 a month is too much.

It's a way for you to just pay a lower amount and only to to pay as we release things. So we definitely don't want any of you who support us through the normal channels to cancel and switch to Patreon.

But we are trying to capture a little bit more higher percentage of our listeners because we really do need that support to keep the operations of the open Stories Foundation going.

And as an incentive, what we're doing is we're going to be releasing these interviews two days early on Patreon before the rest of everyone, the free listening audience gets to sign up.
