What is up? Welcome back. Today we are going to get very dicey and spicy with this subject and the reason why is because it was honestly born out of a Instagram story that I did just last week and I instantly was like I've

0:16.9

got to address this I've got to explain why this thought process is

0:20.6

incorrect. I feel so above and beyond passionate about women's health

0:26.7

and especially the incorrect connection with this scale and this week I recently shared a client's progress photo where she weighed exactly the same amount.

0:39.0

I just threw it in my stories and I said, hey, this is a perfect example of why the scale doesn't make sense and why body

0:45.7

composition matters because she had lost, I think, three inches at her belly and two inches

0:50.8

at her lower belly and 12 inches total total but her weight was exactly the same.

0:54.5

I received a couple comments or dams from people saying one of them was like, well her progress is great

0:59.9

but the scale is just so frustrating and some people would like that comment and there was

1:04.4

you know some other ones that came in that were like I just really want the scale to move and to be

1:11.6

honest when I'm reading these comments and dams, like my jaw like dropped open and I literally was like,

1:18.0

what is happening right now? Am I in the twilight zone? What is happening? So I made a joke and I pretended I was dead on my floor and I said

1:25.7

this is me dying of confusion of why we are so connected to this scale. And then as I started thinking about it, I asked, I said, okay, honestly, what is it about the scale that makes you feel like it has to move for you to succeed? And I truly sincerely asked and hundreds of comments came in and I went

1:46.2

through those and organized them and found themes and found common issues that everyone was

1:52.1

having and I said okay I'm going to do a podcast on this because

1:55.9

this obsession with the scale has got to stop and I know for a lot of us it was ingrained in us from when we were little and so I'm even going to talk about that

2:05.0

But I'm gonna really break it down. I'm taking questions or comments directly from my followers on

2:11.4

Instagram. My Instagram handle is deliciously fit the letter N healthy and I often will ask questions in my stories

2:19.0

but this one I really just took them, organized them and said okay okay, I'm going to cover them all thoroughly in the

2:24.8

podcast and explain why this mental conditioning of the scale having to move to be able to be a winner and it not making sense because the truth is the scale doesn't have to move at all for us to feel amazing and for us to visually see progress.

2:43.9

And that is what I'm going to explain today,

2:45.5

and I really just hope that the way I broke down
