Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of Mormon Stories podcast. I'm your host John D'Alene.

It is October 12, 2017 and we have sort of current events Mormon Stories podcast that we're sharing with you today.

Some of you will know that who've been paying attention to the news that recently, as recent as yesterday, many of us became aware that the Boy Scouts of America are starting to expand to include girls or young women into the scouting program in various ways.

Of course, those of you who are Mormon will know that the Mormon Church of the Boy Scouts of America have a very long and in some ways help the constructive and in some ways we'll see a relationship with the Boy Scouts of America.

And so we're just curious to sort of understand what's going on with the Boy Scouts. Let's learn a little bit about the history of the Mormon Church and the Boy Scouts.

And then let's talk about the history of the Boy Scouts as it relates to women, girls and LGBT youth and try and make some sense of what's going on and what the future might hold.

We are interviewing today Peter Brown, who is the Chief Financial Officer for the Grand Teton Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
