serpent medal that's right Matt we are talking about the bronze serpent and it's going to be a pretty crazy story so with that I'll let you take it away

This one's real special Todd

Okay, and today's you know how many people wake up eat their wheaties and say, I'm going to go for the bronze, but today being in the bronze, it's the best thing you could have. Let me tell you a little bit about it.

Moses and Israel are on the journey to the promise land, but this isn't your typical road trip, Todd, where you have a hankering for some delicious slurpy, you pull over, you go into the convenience store, you pour your pour your slurpee and then you drink it.

Yeah you mentioned Moses so is this part of Old Testament history.

You just had that when the chamber had...

I've been rehearsing that all week, man.

Just waiting, just waiting to pull the trigger.

It's his story, Todd. like that even better. But he this road trip is tough because the people of Israel they're traveling through some pretty harsh terrain right like, there aren't a ton of amenities. The people are

questioning God's provision, and one such time of that question is found in Numbers Chapter

21. The people of God are trying to break into the

promise land and they've just had door after door shut in their face. So they're on a

new path and the people are drawing impatient.

Are they ever going to make it to the promise land?

Will they ever enjoy comfort?

Are they just destined to sojourn on forever, slurpyless for the rest of their lives.

Well, buddy, the sense of discomfort and worry take the people hostage and they voice their complaints against both Moses and God himself.
