Wrestling loves these tropes though, so the most studious of fans can usually tell what's going to happen in a match based on a multitude of subtle things that happen either before or during it. Like these!

The announcers are particularly very guilty of this,

frequently getting overexited in the hope of convincing you

that the end of a match is nigh. Michael Cole, and this goes for a lot of things, is the worst,

though, going absolutely wild for any obvious near fall in the hopes that you at home will think

that a title match could actually end on a superplex if he just shouts loud enough.

Now here's something that will ruin W. W.E forever for you though if you are truly watching the

finish the announcers will reduce their volume in the hope of allowing crowd noise to take over.

There is no that's gotta be it or or it's got to be over just silent acceptance that another match is done

Number seven new japan referees forget how to count all right admittedly this one isn't WWE, but never mind.

A.W. might be the shiny new kid on the block, but for many fans, New Japan pro wrestling still

trumps it as the number one wrestling promotion on the planet.
