So we did this for WWE recently and look now we're doing it for AW2 which is going to be a big problem for the crazies who messaged me going, oh you would never do this for the other promotion. Well now we are you're in a very difficult position. As before though I personally do not like the word flop for a couple of reasons. One you're only a couple of weeks away from getting a big old push and all of a sudden us fans go like oh my gosh

0:20.9

they're brilliant and also two i don't think you have flopped if you do make it to the wwe or a ew or some other promotions as well imagine somebody told you that when you took your first bump you deserve a massive pat on the back you made it man and that's cool but yes, at the same time, there have been some humans that have signed for AEW

0:38.8

and been there for a while.

When you just go, well, maybe this didn't click on the way that we were expecting, and there's always a bunch of reasons as well that we will get into. So, hello. I am Simon Miller, the bald idiot, and sure, yes, to use the YouTube language, Here's a bunch of wrestlers that did go to All Elite Wrestling.

Maybe they didn't do as well as we expected.

I can't help myself. Number eight, the Hardys. Now I'll take this moment as well to tell you this list was put together by a committee and I and the person hosting it because I don't necessarily agree with this. Let's face it, when Matt and Jeff Hardy did go to AW, we weren't really excited, yes, sure, okay. There are a couple of caveats that sort of stole it away. The first one being, with Matt Hardy David, it's broken Matt Hardy. He had to do that in the pandemic. And as we soon learned, that character needs a crowd, that gimmick needs an audience. It was still fun, it was still entertaining. I think there was a reason he eventually

1:27.6

pushed it to one side because again he needed some people. Of course, eventually brother Jeff

1:31.2

joined him and we've talked about this many a time. He was still struggling with a bunch of personal

1:35.5

issues which absolutely derailed his AEW career. Now the most important thing is that in

1:40.2

2006 Jeff seems to be doing way better. While I love professional wrestling, it is the most important of the least important things, and nothing is more crucial to me than somebody's health. It didn't mean there was a bunch of dream matches we never got around to. And don't forget, Matt Hardy had that horrendous fall when it was taking on Sammy Guevara at a pay-per-view. And actually, I think this is right. I double-checked when I could be wrong. They only had one proper pay-per-view appearance as a tag team, and thank Flubbins that was to take on the young butts. Because no matter what generation of wrestling you are into, we had to see this because, without the Hardys, you don't get Matt and Nick Jackson, so at least they eventually came together. Also, good news, Matt and Jeff are now back to kicking ass in TNA and sometimes NXT and I'm sure eventually will go into the WW Hall of Fame. So it was a net positive if they went to AEW, but yes, fair enough, maybe we didn't get as much out of it as we were hoping for. Number seven, Rick Flair. So wrong place, wrong time with this one. And listen, nobody's ever going to debate that Rick Flair isn't one of the best wresters of all time, but he did turn up in AEW,

2:36.6

well, it was just a little bit strange.

2:38.5

Now, huge reason for this is because right off the back, we were being told by the Powers

2:42.0

to Be that this was mostly because of a business relationship between Rick Flair's energy

2:46.8

drink, which is quite literally called Wu Energy, and AEW, and that's why Rick Flair was

2:51.4

sometimes going to appear in segments on TV. And even saying that out loud, no, I don't really know what's going on. He did have a few cameos during the Sting Retirement Tour, which made all the sense because without Rick Flair, there is no Sting. Although I think Rick Flair came out and said this as well, he pitched to turn heel.

3:06.4

Thank Flammins, we didn't agree to that one

3:08.3

because it would not have been the right time to do it.

3:11.0

And also it was... came out and said this as well. He pitched a turn heel. Thank Flammies we didn't agree to that one

3:08.3

because it would not have been the right time to do it. And also it would have made Sting look like a fool. Do you many times, Rick Flair stand him in the back a lot. Other than that, Rick Flair made sure to disowne some chops, the Christian Cage, powerhouse, Hobbs, and I think to Kester to two and ultimately it didn't actually go anywhere. And then I think on the quiet AEW did sort of

3:25.7

sneak him out the door and there's no way they would have done that if this was clicking. So yes, I get it. I understand the nature boy. Once again, one of the goats of sports entertainment. But in terms of what we did in 2004 and 2025, well, I just didn't work. And it was a little bit odd. Number six, Bobby Fish. And when Bobby Fish did come into AEW, he did have some momentum behind him because, of course, a lot of the undisputed era were already in AEW, so when he turned up to it, it was like Hot Bang Man, we could have some fun with this. And we certainly started heading in that direction, and we kind of felt like it was going to go down when we had a match between CM Punk and Mr Fish. Who the Flub knows what's going on here, but people have talked about it, especially Bob himself, because you could see right now, you can check the footage out, we'll try and have a picture on the screen too. After CM Punk had beaten it with the GTS, whenever reason Bobby Fish kicked out of 3.5,

4:15.6

and that's not really something you do do,

4:17.2

after you get smashed with a finisher.
