David Martin reports on the new efforts being put forth to address inequality in the military, this time under the watch of the country’s first Black secretary of defense, Lloyd Austin. Renowned sportswriter Dave Kindred has covered the biggest moments and brightest stars in sports for more than half a century, but now he tells Jon Wertheim he has found his most fulfilling work: writing about girls high school hoops in central Illinois.
