Taking the next step, I'm Lisa Salisara. Fox News. One day after the White House meeting with Ukraine's

president and the leaders of several European nations, military leaders are set to me to talk

about security for Ukraine. A White House official tells Fox, the chairman of the joint chiefs,

will be meeting with his counterparts from Germany, the UK,

France, Finland, and Italy this week to talk about the military's role in security guarantees.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio is also involved.

President Trump said earlier today that we know U.S. boots on the ground in Ukraine.

Also today, the White House said

the president spoke with Hungary's Prime Minister Victor Orban to discuss the possibility of having

Budapest host peace talks between Russia and Ukraine. The Justice Department has opened an investigation

to whether police officials in Washington, D.C., have falsified crime data.

Last week, President Trump signs an executive order federalizing the district's

police department claiming crimes out of control.

Well, the only explanation could be to keep the crime stats down

because politically that's expedient for the police department and elected officials in the district.

D.C. Police Union Chief Greg, Greg Pemberton, critics say the crackdown's not

needed. Mid-Atlantic and Northeast State preparing for hurricane era and the storm is not expected
