Sentence handed down, I'm Lee Silicera, Fox News. One of Pennsylvania's senators reacts

after a jury recommends the death penalty for the man convicted in the deadly anti-Semitic

attack in U.S. history.

Democratic Senator John Fetterman, following the jury's decision on a sentence of death for

Robert Bowers, the man who killed 11 people at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh,

had an statement it was his hope that justice and healing would come for victims, those

left behind, and the greater Jewish community as a result.

Senator Fetterman called the jury's action a just decision given the nature of the crime

and anti-Jewish postings that led up to it.

The formal sentencing with impact statements will be on Thursday.

Fox's Colonel Scott, a court appearance for the man accused in the beating of the husband

of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, David DePamp was in court today in San Francisco.

He's facing federal charges of attempted kidnapping of a federal officer or employee,

an assault of an immediate family member of a federal official.

The prosecution says it's planning on having Paul Pelosi testify when the trial gets

underway in November.

The FBI and Portland Oregon is asking for the public's help after a woman escaped from

a cinder block cell after being held captive and sexually assaulted by a man posing as

a police officer.

They say she escaped after beating the door down with her bare hands until she was able

to break free.
