Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer says work will continue through the weekend on the supplemental

security bill that includes talks about the southern border

as the Senate's top Republican is giving mixed messages.

Bipartisan senators were trying to decipher if Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell was trying to end the border talks, but McConnell says the discussions are still on.

McConnell faces criticism from arch conservatives who say he's not endorsing what most GOP senators want.

Even if a majority of GOP senators are not on board, there's a coalition of Democrats and

Republicans who could break a filibuster.

However, there is still no bill text.

Nothing is final.

There is now chatter about breaking off money for Ukraine from the border package. Ukraine money is important to McConnell.
