the polls have just opened in Ohio. I'm Dave Anthony Fox News and a special

election letting voters decide how voters get the decide ballot questions. Fox

has grown all Scott explains. Simply put issue one will decide if it becomes

more difficult to amend the Ohio Constitution. Right now a simple majority of

half the state can make the change. Issue one bumps that to 60% of the entire

state. Ohio's Republican Secretary of State Frank LaRose backs it saying if

your idea isn't popular then maybe you should not consider bringing it to the

ballot. Now Democrats they suppose the change

saying upping the threshold to 60% would destroy citizen driven

initiatives to protect abortion or voting or other rights.

Former Vice President Mike Pence is ready to debate he's qualified to be

on stage for the first presidential debate. His campaign announcing they just

crossed the 40,000 donor threshold set by the RNC. He'd already met the polling

threshold. Pence is the eighth candidate to make the grade. Fox News hosts that debate.

It'll be held Wednesday, August 23rd in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Those foxes Ted Lindner former President Trump has suggested as the front

runner by far in the race he might skip that debate. His legal team responded to the request

for a protective order in the election interference criminal case that would bar the former

president from disclosing evidence or commenting on witnesses. He calls the special counsel

deranged former president Donald Trump's lawyers asking a federal judge to reject the prosecution's

proposed protective order ahead of his 2020 election trial saying it would violate his first
