The city is getting the McCarran Recreation Center and Greenpoint Brooklyn ready for

migrants.

Roughly 80 adult asylum seekers will move into a wing of the Recreation Center, officials

say the public access to the pool and fitness center will not be impacted.

Additional security is being brought in to ensure everyone is safe.

The city also confirms to Fox five news that the Sunset Park Recreation Center in

Brooklyn is another new location that will also start sheltering migrants.

Meantime the Biden White House has pledged to send a representative to New York City
