a cop killer is being sought in Philadelphia. I'm Pam Housa Fox News. Police say a temple university police officer was shot while intervening during a carjacking.

An officer dedicated to law and order and public safety gunned down on the job. The city and temple university now mourning the loss of a temple officer killed in the line of duty.

Reporter Joanne Pellegi with Fox 29. A former US president is receiving hospice care. The Carter Center says Jimmy Carter is at home in Georgia. He's 98.

Carter was the 39th president of the United States. He's been married for more than 70 years, a loving husband, father of four and a grandfather.

He won election back in 1976, narrowly defeating incumbent Gerald Ford. It was a critical time in US history and in the wake of the watergate scandal that had forced

then president Nixon out of office just two years earlier. Before his time in the White House, Carter served as the governor of Georgia and as a Georgia state senator.

Nine people all under the age of 18 are recovering from gunshot wounds in Georgia.

Police in Columbus say the victims were shot outside a gas station Friday night after gunfire erupted at a nearby party.

Police haven't made any arrests. Hundreds of people gathered in Michigan to celebrate the lives of two students who were shot and killed at Michigan State University last week.
