My name is Doug Parker, a review of Virgin Voyages, Scarlet Lady this week from Scott Lara.

Also, well, yeah, that's about it because staff writer Richard Sims is on a boat right now.

He's sailing a Carnival Venetia, although he wasn't too happy.

He was looking forward to that first time getting to go to half moon. And, of

course, the weather we had here a couple of days ago kind of botched that for him. So they had an extra

fun day at sea and then NASA and enjoy that, Richard. All right, Scott Lara, president of military

So before we get to the ship itself, Scott, we'll take a step back. What made you want to take this cruise? Because let's be, let's just be real, like Virgin Voyages. It was known when they launched for their millennial crowd. I'm not going to try to guess your age, but I'm going to say you're not a millennial.

Well, you know, Doug, it's funny because I'm 62 years old, married for 39 years. I have two grown kids, two grandkids that are six and four, and I have one on the way. And I was hesitant about it because I'm thinking, okay, I'm 62, and here's going to be a bunch of 21-year-olds, a bunch of, you know, partiers, young people.

Kind of like, and you know this, that I was on the groove cruise, which EDM, electronic dance music with a lot of young people.

So I was thinking it was going to be like that.

Doug, I was so wrong.

I stepped on board, and you figure, you know, there's 3,102 passengers on there.

I would say that 60% are 40 and above and there's a lot of young people, but I felt right in
