Hey guys, so I recorded an episode with with Matt Law around eight o'clock central time in the US on on Tuesday. So yesterday's your listen to this.

Right as we finished the report that Roman Abramovich wanted the $1.6 billion loan that he funded through Ford Stan limited repaid broke.

And so obviously you won't hear that consideration given throughout the podcast here but just to do a quick intro on what that story is to cover off on it.

Essentially you know Rob Draper at Draper underscore Rob on on Twitter did a great threat on this where he said if Roman now wants his $1.6 billion loan paid as the time sport actually reported that originally.

Chelsea have a huge existential problem the UK government has always insisted this can't and won't happen obviously do the sanctions.

The clock is taking on the May 31st deadline but it's more serious than a complex delay. Essentially the Premier League meet on June 8th to constitute the new league season for 2022 2023.

If Chelsea aren't licensed operate by them they're only licensed now on the UK government sufferance and they can't be a part of the Premier League.

Where that would lead Chelsea's a move point I think there's a huge concern about you know whether assets that should go to Roman Abramovich end up in the hands of foreign nationals if you're if you're Vladimir Putin essentially saying that the UK government might blink and allow that but it really depends on on the situation and how it develops.

The last minute note made is obviously the Ratcliffe bid is a huge part of this so Rob continues saying intriguing how last minute Ratcliffe big mimicked Abramovich's language Ratcliffe wants to proceed once proceeds to go to the charitable trust to support victims of the war.

Abramovich initially wanted to set up the foundation for the benefit of all victims of war in Ukraine.

It's almost as if the bid was tailored made to be what Abramovich wanted and you know I think that's kind of a huge part of this story that we just don't know enough about yet to know what's real or not.

We know that the bully group is in the middle of this kind of five to seven day negotiation period as the sole winner so we'll kind of see what happens.

But another journalist David Dawkins goes on to say RE Abramovich loan we all got that briefing we all tested it.

We were all told that if he tries to do that the license to complete the deal will not be offered bully and rain are just not that dumb relax.

So we'll see at David G Dawkins on Twitter also doing some reporting today but yeah sorry you're going to hear a much I think

that Rosie or maybe happier picture of the bully bid and what comes next as you dive into this episode but I at least wanted to provide that context as we got news throughout the day so that this wasn't a totally an episode totally devoid of that information.
