Here is some insight, two minutes worth or so, on whining. You look up the definition of wine,

0:43.6

W-H-I-N-E, to snivel or complain in a self-pitying manner. What it really says is,

poor me, let me tell you what happened, I want to be a victim. Key things people normally whine about. They're not making enough money. Well, maybe you should be making more money, although maybe this is the case as well, whiner. Maybe you're complaining about the money you don't make from the work you won't do. Ah, maybe you need to work longer, harder, smarter. People say, well, I didn't get the promotion. and they like to whine about this in the workplace. Well, let me ask you this. Maybe you should have gotten it, but maybe you shouldn't have gotten it. Let's look at it honestly. Have you just been showing up or have you been stepping up? 1:53.3

to ignore excellence and impact and contribution. Stop promoting yourself, start improving

yourself. Give that a try. And stop blaming bad luck.

2:02.8

Quit whining about that stuff. It's usually not bad luck. It's poor decisions. Quit blaming bad

breaks. What you need to break is the destructive pattern of thinking that gives you something to

whine about. Put the pacifier down. Pull your big boy pants up and take control of your destiny. Stop the whining. Focus on what you can control. Let me close with this. You may not be able to add years to your life, but you can add life to your years and you can start right now by stopping the whining if you're a whiner. If you're not a whiner, don't start. Stop being lived.
