0:00.0	This is going to be the most controversial video I've ever made. I can see rad
0:09.6	rad fathers and mothers taking their advent reese and throwing them into
0:17.3	burning dumpsters. Just kidding, but people are going to be shocked. This has been
0:25.0	info that I think I mentioned once before but I've been sitting on. It's
0:29.3	inspired by a very kind lady who after mass a couple weeks ago said to me,
0:34.0	Dr. Marshall, I noticed this was a traditional mass. I noticed father has four
0:40.6	red candles instead of having a violet violet rose violet candle on the
0:45.0	advent wreath. Is that okay? And I jokingly said, well technically the advent
0:51.8	wreath has Protestant origins so there is no right way to do it. And she was
0:57.8	shocked because that true and my friends it is true. It is true. And yet the
1:09.0	Marshall household continues to light our advent wreath every night when we
1:15.1	pray the rosary and read the Bible during advent. In fact, the Marshall family
1:19.7	many years ago, maybe over 10 years ago, started praying the rosary every day
1:23.9	during an advent challenge that my wife and I had and our kids loved lighting
1:29.9	the candles and that's kind of how we got into the whole thing of praying the
1:32.7	rosary every single day was during advent. And then once advent was over, we
1:37.5	continue to light candles on our home altar and pray the rosary. And here we
1:41.5	are what 10 10 years later still praying the rosary. So we're going to jump into
1:47.6	this topic today. It'll be a shorter show. And I will explain the history, the
1:52.7	Protestant history of the advent wreath. And then I'll explain why I and my wife
2:00.3	and my family as rad trad. It's kind of dumb word but traditional glad
2:07.7	trad as Eric Samman says glad trad traditional Catholics while we continue to
