William Thomas Concade III was born in Sacramento, California. Okay.

To Bill and Mary Ann. Okay. In those early years, Bill Concade bounced from job to job. Patrick Concade, Thomas's brother, said,

quote, he'd go off on these flights of fancy about what he was going to do with his life. He wanted to sail around the sea of Cortez.
