James Kniber, author of a book about the terrible murder of Mary Ann Parker in 1927, Los Angeles.

It joins me today as my primary guest, but before we get to this interview, another guest.

I'm happy to have back with me, Mark Lee Gardner, who has more hours, I believe, on this show than any other author.

We talked for about an hour about his book to hell in a fast horse, Billy the Kid, Pat Garrett, and the Epic Chase to Justice in the Old West months ago.

And we also did a two-part series about the Jesse James gang in the Northfield Bank Raiden, Minnesota, based on his book called Shot All to Hell.

I asked him to join me today because I wanted to talk to him about the most recent photograph of Billy the Kid that has surfaced,

and get his opinion on it, along with the rash of other photographs in recent years,

purporting to show brand new images of historical figures in American history.
