It's fundamental and necessary to study older crimes and how their cases progress through the legal system, but it's also imperative to look at incidents that are taking place right now.

This week on murderous miners we're looking at a multiple shooting caught on tape

from several angles and perspectives in some instances.

The fact is that the majority of the gunman's day and the entirety of these killings was captured on video.

Not only was the shooter videotaped by bystanders, but he also gave interviews throughout the day to individuals covering the protests.

Let's start at the catalyst of the

canosha shootings, an incident which occurred on August 23rd, 2020, the police shooting of 29-year-old Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

The shooting took place outside on a residential street in front of his three children and was filmed by a neighbor, then posted on social media, where it spread quickly and led to renewed protests against continued police brutality of black Americans.

The video of the shooting of Jacob Blake struck such a court in the nation that the

NBA, the W-N-B-B-B-A, Major League Soccer, Major League Baseball, all cancelled scheduled play in solidarity

with activists opposing police brutality and systemic racism.

Kenosha, Wisconsin, a suburb 45 minutes south of Milwaukee, and an hour or so from Chicago, is the corporate

headquarters of Snapon who make tools, Jockey International who make underwear and clothing, and it's the fourth largest city on Lake Michigan. Prior to Jacob Blake's shooting, Kenosha was known more for those things or for being the former home of Orson Wells and Mark Ruffalo

than for being a hotbed of national scrutiny regarding societal evolution.

Yet in a matter of minutes, the bustling suburb was hurtled into the international spotlight.

Demonstrations in support of Jacob Blake and against police brutality popped up in Portland, Oregon, Minneapolis, Minnesota, New York, and

downtown Kenosha, as did counter demonstrations.

Almost immediately parts of Kenosha were filled with citizens in protest.
