Well, through the surveillance as a couple of days before the shooting, we had identified,

I think, three or four locations where individuals associated to this purchase were at.

Because you know, when you pick up on somebody on an initial surveillance, that only leads

you to a secondary surveillance, right?

They'll go to a house where three other cars are located, and then those cars will leave.

So you try to follow those cars, right?

So you're splitting your surveillance up, and you're expanding your investigation.

Of course, you're doing a lot of background work as you're conducting the surveillance

as too.

You're calling in license plates.

You're doing criminal history checks on the people that come back to the plates, and

you're finding out if somebody has a drug trafficking background, whether they've had

any kind of criminal history, assaults, things like that.

So we'd been doing that a few days.

And we ended up having about three or four locations that we wanted to go ahead and hit

of which one where we were fairly convinced there were drugs, we got a search warrant for

a federal search warrant.

And the Assistant U.S. Attorney was Lee Stapleton at that time, who we worked splendidly with.

She was outstanding.

And I'm friends with her today.

She actually wrote the forward in the novel experiment.

So she was terrific.
