Summary

May is a powerful and complex month. We are both growing and pausing, moving and surrendering, clearing and receiving. It is a cycle full of new beginnings, big completions, activations, and spiritual homecomings, as we journey further into reclaiming our bodies and stepping into deeper alignment in our relationship with this planet we call home. We are invoking a new world with every decision we make, every action we take, and with our willingness to be with what is — the discomfort and the joy, all wrapped up in one. We are going to be served with some profound invitations to change and grow this month, opening doors to new opportunities along the way. I'm your host, Lindsay Mack.

Thank you so much for being with me today.

I want to start this episode, our monthly medicine for May, with a very happy built-in

0:29.6

to the Northern Hemisphere and a very happy Sauen for this other hemisphere.

0:35.6

This is my favorite belting and Sauen are my favorite holidays on the wheel of the year.

0:44.0

I feel them most potently and I think that it's very powerful to consider that today in

0:55.0

the Northern Hemisphere we are honoring the halfway point between spring and summer.

0:59.8

This time of great blooming of sexuality, of bodies, of light, of fire, of flowers.

1:10.6

And in the Southern Hemisphere, this is a time of releasing, of shedding, the snake,

1:16.6

our ancestors, those who have passed on, parts of us that have died, and yet they are connected.

1:24.2

The veil is then for Sauen whether we're on the Northern Hemisphere or the Southern Hemisphere.

1:30.4

So it's very important for us in the North to remember that even amidst this holiday,

1:35.8

May 1st, that is so bright and beautiful and all about life and renewal, that the veil is

1:44.8

quite thin and so kind of reclaiming that idea of going on, you know, playing with the

1:53.4

porousness of the veil on belting is really exciting and pretty fun to think about because we just

1:59.3

don't gift ourselves, I don't think that thought too too often, but they are connected when we are in

2:07.9

Sauen in the Northern Hemisphere, the are folks in the Southern Hemisphere are in belting.

2:13.8

So that's very powerful to think about. Belting is a fire festival, it's May Day, this is a

2:21.2

honoring again, of the halfway point. We are between the spring equinox and the summer solstice,

2:28.5

spring is in full bloom for some of us. It's still pretty cold and snowy and some parts of the

2:35.2

least in the eastern part of the United States. There is still quite a bit of snow,
