Welkom to the most notorious podcast. I'm Eric Rivenes. Glad to be here with you.

My time for personal projects has been limited recently, so everything has gone on the back

burner this summer and fall while I've worked on researching and writing a book.

But the end is upon me and I'm gearing up to start conducting interviews again in anticipation of

2018. One of the changes for the new year is that I've decided to organize the podcast in two

seasons, starting mid-January and lasting until mid-April of 2018. I'll be running episodes of

Most Notorious every week. Then in the fall, after a summer break, I'll be back with three more

months of Most Notorious, with week-to-week episodes. So keep subscribed and stay tuned. I've got

lots of great true crime history topics coming up. My guest today is Mark Shaw, a former criminal

defense attorney and author of over 20 books, including the one we're discussing today,

the reporter who knew too much, the mysterious death of what's my line star in media icon

Dorothy Killgallon. It's especially topical as you'll soon hear because of the recent release

Oh, you're welcome. Thank you, Eric. So what is it about the story of Dorothy Killgallon

that led you to write a book about her life and death? Well, as an author yourself, you know,

you know, it just can't tell sometimes about books. When we're in the creative area and we

splice something on the pages there when we started with no words and then we end up with all

these words and you don't really know what you have exactly and whether anybody will give a darn,

but that's kind of the case with this one because I never really intended to write this book, Eric.

Like most people, I remember Dorothy Killgallon as a star panelist on a game show called What's My Line

was on CBS for 15 years every Sunday night. 20 million people watched that show and for those who
