David how are you that's good it's it's that weird week between Christmas and New year and you know the world is kind of a little

running a little slower this week and but I still got some time with my buddy Stephen this week.

So that's cool.

Yeah, yeah.

In that spirit we're gonna keep this short today and just kind of run through some stuff

that worked for us this year and in more power users the ad-free longer

version of the show we're gonna do that with some stuff beyond work so some

tech kind of in a personal lives or work adjacent that we've been happy with over the last 12 months.

I think let's start with hardware because, you know, this was a year that you and I both did some experiments on hardware.

I went from the dual laptop life to the desktop plus laptop life. And you did the exact opposite so you want to go first you

want me to go first yeah I can go I had been a a desktop plus laptop person for a long time, really since I went independent back in 2015 and this

year with the M2 series of Macbooks in the beginning part of the year.

I... You mean not the M3, not the M3?

Not the M3.

I have the short-lived M2 Pro, Macbook Pro, the 14-inch is my only production Mac and I have that hooked up to a studio display

through a Cal digit Thunderbolt dock and I've been on this one Mac experiment for most of the year and honestly it has gone really well.
