Hello, Doug. A couple of cruise lines have increased gratuities this week.

You know, where one goes, the other always follows.

So when Princess raised their gratuities a few days ago, you and I kind of looked at each other and were like, yep, it starts now.

And sure enough, right behind them came Norwegian.

Guest received a letter telling them about the change, which goes into effect for Norwegian on January 1st.

In the case, I think the thing that makes the Norwegian cruise line case so different is this is not the typical increase that we usually see.

You know, we usually see prices go up like a dollar, maybe a buck 50, but in this case, the majority of state rooms will go up $4.

So the new price is going to be $20 per person per day for most state rooms with the haven and sweets going up to $25 per person per day.
