Today I am recording from Northern Arizona in Unit 9.

I have got Elk Camp all set up and I've been scouting here the last

handful of days and I've got Archery Elk Hunter in Unit 9 nine the hunt starts on September 18th

this year I think we've talked about on the podcast that there is a muzzle

odor hunt that's going to go in front of the archery hunt we're

scouting has been going well the unit seems to be pretty green head to toe

the bulls seem to be good, antler growth is good.

I've seen a handful of good bulls, 340, 350 type of bulls.

The first night I got here on the second of September, the elk were bugling as soon as I shut the generator off and actually last night I slept with the trailer door open all the windows open just so I could listen to the elk bugling and they're kind of in the stage where they're just sounding off and bugling at each other and not really not really getting after it but it's

sure neat to hear them bugle if you can hear a little bit of rustling in the background

that's actually the Ponderosa Pines blowing. There's a little breeze blowing today and it's just it's just great to be up here. It's another fall 2015 season.
