It was out of Amsterdam, up to Copenhagen, and he joins us on the line to talk all about this new ship. How you doing, my friend? Absolutely doing great. And it's such a privilege and an honor to talk to you today, Doug. I mean, I'm a longtime fan and listener, listener, and this one, thank you so much for all you do for the cruise community.

0:39.6

You are awesome.

0:35.0

So let's start up with that one. Thank you so much. That is very sweet of you to say. So let's talk about Norwegian prima here. I want to get some pre-cruced thoughts before we get to this amazing ship. So let's take a step back. Let's do some pre-crues thoughts.

0:37.8

What made you want to sail this inaugural 10 night?

0:54.4

Are you a big NCL fan? No, we're really not. This is actually only our

1:00.8

third, and if you just count nights, we've only been four nights on NCL before. But I was just

1:05.6

counting my cruise cards yesterday, and this is technically cruise number 96. Wow. So,-6. So and it's also the 11th since the

1:14.2

cruising restarted. But our first was on Navigator in 2003 and when you get on a line, you

1:19.7

sort of stick with it. So we made, most of them on Royal Caribbean. It was actually our honeymoon cruise,

1:25.1

so it's 20 years ago. it's easy to remember next year's

1:28.2

going to be 20 years anniversary so that's awesome so we've done probably pretty much 4 to 6 a year

1:33.6

we sailed with a dozen brands so everything from disney to regions to whole america to river cruising

1:39.5

but mostly on royal but lately oceania and hollin america So Oceania is amazing for their food. We really love their food offering. And when Encel was promoting Prima, they were talking a lot about their food and how they're up the game for food. So that was the reason why we picked it. We want to see, are they closing in on Oceania or they're doing something different. So we were curious.

2:01.5

Gotcha. Now, you're up in, you're in Sweden. Is that correct? That is correct. Okay, cool. So you made

2:07.0

your way from Sweden to Amsterdam. And I'm just going to say I am a U.S. citizen who doesn't

2:13.1

know a lot about world geography. So is that a big hike to get from Sweden to Amsterdam?

2:18.0

Actually, it's not. We got pretty much five daily flights, and it's an hour in 10 minutes,

2:22.9

15 minutes. You could actually drive if you have a lot of time, but flying is easier.

2:27.4

We usually fly in the day before, but since the ship wasn't going to leave until the day after,

2:32.9

because of some technical difficulties

2:34.8

with the locks. So we also did going in the same day. So actually we arrived right about

2:39.5

lunchtime in Amsterdam and we just took a quick taxi over to the cruise port, which is really
