A dialogue between God and Satan signifies the war, the struggle of light versus darkness,

good versus evil.

And in a way in Christianity, this isn't exactly correct because God and Satan are not equals

and they're not opposites like a yin and a yang.

That is the creator of the entire universe and Satan, the devil, is merely a fallen angel,

a fallen creature of God.

So that sort of equality doesn't exist in the biblical structure of the universe.

But yet we do see going back to the Old Testament, a debate and a dialogue between Satan and

God.

And in Genesis chapter 3, where God speaks to the serpent, says he'll put emnity between

him, the snake, and between the woman and her seed.

As Catholics, we really that's talking about the Blessed Virgin Mary, who's the Immaculate

Conception, and her seed, her son, Jesus Christ, who's the son of God, Messiah, and Redeemer.

But we also see this in the Old Testament book of Job, where Satan comes into God's presence

into his courtroom and makes a challenge.

Has a dialogue.

Now on a certain day, when the sons of God came to stand before the Lord, Satan also was

present among them.

And the Lord said to him, once come a stout, and he answered and said, I've gone round

about the earth and walked through it.
