and I think that it's become too taboo amongst entrepreneurs, high-performance achievers, just, you know, executives.

It almost feels like when we talk about burnout, it's some kind of weakness.

And it actually isn't a weakness. It's a strong point of diagnosis. And that's what I want to talk about today.

Okay, so here's how I treat it burn out. I treat it burnout as a temporary loss of energy, a temporary

draining of the batteries. So I would always treat it burnout as I just need to go recharge. I need to

plug myself in. So if you've ever been using an electrical appliance that runs out of battery,

you have to cease using it for a period of time. Go plug it into the wall. It recharges and then you

can begin to resume using it as you were before. That's how I thought burnout was. And I'm finding now

as I kind of get older, wiser and as I'm out questioning everything I do in the world of business

and I'm meeting some amazing people learning from them, reading again. And so I go back in my life

and I look at periods of my life where I was able to go years with zero burnout. And then I have periods

of my life where I feel like I was burning out every month or every other month. Yet physical energy

I'm expending during these periods of time is the same. Actually, one might argue that when I'm going

longer with no burnouts during those times, I might actually be working physically harder than I

or emotionally or mentally harder than I am during the time. So I find myself repeatedly

burning out. What I've actually come to figure out is that burnout is a clear sign of a much,

much more major issue going on somewhere deeper within. And I think it just has to do with one word
