Summary

Ever wonder why some people light up a room and others shrink the second the spotlight hits them? Why confidence looks so natural for some but feels impossible to fake? I brought in Charlie Houpert, founder of Charisma on Command (7M+ YouTube subscribers), to decode the psychology of confidence, charisma, and connection… using viral clips, movie moments, and real-world relationships. From Taylor Swift’s transformation from shy to self-assured, to the body language cues that reveal insecurity, to the painful truth about why couples tear each other down in public, this episode will change the way you see confidence forever. We break down what it really means to project power without arrogance, build self-worth without validation, and read people’s energy so you never get played again. What up my homie? I'm Lisa Bilu and this is Women of Impact. Now, I want to talk about confident because confidence can come and go. It isn't just a one and done. And let's face it, most of the things in life, we think we need confidence to get started. So whether it's I want to leave that relationship or whether I want to start a new relationship or I want to leave that job or I want to tell my parents exactly how I feel and the things I'm no longer going to do. Like fill in the blank of all the things that you wish you had the confidence to go and do. And then the question is, how do you do it? And so today I've got a great episode, guys, because let's face it, when you feel like you don't belong, when you don't have the confidence to walk into the room, when you don't know how to play it called, and your body just starts to take over and totally betray you, by the way, because you start to stutter, or you start to bite your nails, or you start to shrink yourself, like all these acts that we end up doing, or because we don't feel good about ourselves, start giving off a signal to other people. And that's why today I've brought on Charlie Hooper. Now, Charlie is co-founder of

We also go over a heartbreaking clip that went utterly viral. That's

1:29.5

the Alec Baldwin and his wife clip where they just rip each other to shreds on the red carpet.

1:34.1

We go over that and then of course another one of my favorite, favorite movies, mean girls

1:38.7

and how we can start to spot someone pretending to be nice and how we can start to spot acts

1:44.1

and behaviours of someone pretending to be nice when really they can start to spot acts and behaviours of someone

1:45.2

pretending to be nice when really they're not. Because all of these things, guys, is what impacts

1:48.7

our confidence. And so by the end of this episode, not only you're going to have fun and hopefully

1:54.4

be very entertained like I was, you're going to start to learn the subtle cues that actually

instantly make you look insecure and how to flip

2:01.5

them on the spot. We also talk about why clapping back at someone who disrespects you actually

2:06.5

kills your confidence long term. And finally, we go over the surprising, simple, daily questions
