Okay, tonight's case is a case from 1999 in Baltimore, Maryland. It's about the

murder of Hayman Lee, which is a pretty popular case in an ongoing case, and we'll cover that here in a few minutes.

But to get to the bottom of who's involved, let's start with the characters.

Let's start with the people involved in this story, in this case.

Hayman Lee was the victim of the murder.

At the time, she was an 18-year-old senior at Woodlawn High School. She played field hockey,

lacrosse and she worked at the local LensCrafters. She also volunteered as a manager on the wrestling team and she was known locally as a real go-getter.

Woodlawn High School is a magnet program and she was there in the gifted, the gifted program at that school.

She's actually born in South Korea and moved. the gifted program at that school.

So she was about 11 years old when she came to America.

But she was doing really well in high school.

She was very involved.

She was about to graduate.

And on January 13th, she disappeared and a missing person's investigation ensued and then her body was found on February 9th.

Accused of the murder was her ex-boyfriend, Adnon Sayed. At the time he was 17

years old. He also attended Woodlawn High School. He was a track athlete. He practiced the Muslim religion, which is important, and we'll come back again later.
