This is the Grenfell Tower Inquiry podcast, a new podcast every day the inquiry sits.

I'm Eddie Mayor. The inquiry is set aside up to nine days to hear memorials to those who died.

Yesterday, the lead QC for the inquiry, Richard Millett, explained why.

As Maya Angelou wrote, there is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.

We hope that these days of commemorations of Grenfell's lost loved ones will enable their

stories to be told and the agony of those who bear them

to be lessened by telling them. Today the inquiry had tributes to 14 of the people who died,

including six members of the Chukair family. There was also an interruption when a video of

the fire was played without warning.

Many of the audience left in tears.

We'll tell you more about that in a moment.

What we're listening to now is a recording played to the inquiry

at the request of the family of Deborah Lamprell,

the first person to be commemorated today.

Deborah was 45.

She worked front of house at Holland Park Opera,

and this was a performance at her commemoration.

The memorial, written by Deborah's mother, Miriam, was read by Michael Volpe of Holland Park Opera. When she left school, she started to work in a bank, but really she wanted to work in hospitality.

She loved working with people, looking after them, making sure they had a good time.

So she found a job in Holiday Inn in Gloucester Road,
