Welcome back to adult child where we take a deep dive into the impact of growing up in a dysfunctional family.

And today we are diving deep with queen icon legend Tian Dayton, one of the pioneers of the adult child movement.

She was at ground zero y'all when all this shit began.

Tian has saved the lives of so many people including my own.

Her books have played a significant role in my healing journey.

In particular her book The ACOA Trauma Syndrome and it was through reading this book that I realized I was suffering from a form of PTSD.

And that that feeling I've talked so much about and the uncontrollable irrational emotions, the insane thinking and behavior,

the way my peace of mind got hijacked whenever I was in a relationship were all in fact a post traumatic stress response.

And I will be diving into this with Tian as well as a myriad of other topics.

This conversation is filled with gems of wisdom so let's not waste any more time and have at it.

Well I am so freaking excited to introduce our guest.

We have Tian Dayton who has had a 40 plus year career doing the Lord's work.

She is a nationally renowned speaker expert in psychodrama, trauma addiction, adult children and self help related issues.

She is the senior fellow at the Meadows author of over 15 books including two of my faves, the ACOA Trauma Syndrome and emotional sobriety.

And she has developed an approach for incorporating experiential work into treatment programs and group work which is called Relationship Trauma Repair RTR.
