0:00.0	I have to start with a very clear and definitive statement today.
0:13.2	No one is cheering what is happening in Texas with the floods.
0:19.6	One of the things that the MAGA right is now latching onto because they know they're out
0:25.7	of arguments.
0:26.7	They know that the cuts to the national weather service and all of these different cuts
0:31.8	that the Trump administration has put in place.
0:34.4	They know that on some level, it has made the death toll from the flooding
0:39.8	worse, but they cannot admit that. And so instead, they are accusing the left of cheering as the
0:49.4	death toll tragically goes up. And I can't imagine a more disgusting way to deflect blame for the guy they
0:58.8	voted for doing what he said he would do and it having the obvious predictable impact that it
1:07.1	would have. So let's sort of back up a little. I know I'm shot out of a cannon here.
1:13.2	As of this moment, the tragedy is believed to have taken more than 100 lives in Texas.
1:21.5	Catastrophic flooding. As of yesterday morning, 69 were confirmed dead, 11 girls and a counselor from Camp Mystic
1:32.1	missing.
1:33.8	We now are 24 plus hours on from that.
1:37.4	And I'm going to be very frank with you.
1:39.1	It's not clear that state officials are at all coordinated or forthcoming about the death toll. Time is going to tell.
1:47.1	I am stopping short of saying they're straight up lying. I'm sort of leaving some benefit of the doubt
1:53.6	and saying it's a chaotic scene in Texas. It may just be that various officials are not coordinated
2:00.4	properly on the death toll and eventually
2:03.1	we're going to get the real number, but it is believed to now be over 100.
2:06.5	I am concerned that many of these deaths were preventable.
